Mobile game market is heating up. According to some data it is approximately $2.2 billion a year industry today and expects to reach $7.5 billion by 2015. Most of the increase is taking place in China and other emerging markets which will account for $3.5 billion a year by 2015. More ambitious others estimate that the mobile game market will be around $18 billion a year industry by 2016.
One reason why the industry is superhot is that the availability of 326 pixels per inch (ppi) Apple iPhone 5, 320 ppi Nexus 4, and 342 ppi Windows Phone 8X. At the same time LTE wireless Internet connectivity speeds are getting better offering up to 20Mbit per second. Also the high end mobile devices are getting larger screens allowing better online gaming experience. Nexus 4 and Galaxy SIII are closer to 5-inch, HTC is 4.3-inch and Apple iPhone 5 is at 4-inch.
